The SKAO is an intergovernmental organisation following the motto: One global observatory operating two telescopes on three sites.
Established in 2019, the organisation has charged itself to build and operate two radio telescopes, a mid frequency dish array in South Africa and a low frequency dipole antenna array in Western Australia.
